Repointing, rebuilds
and garden walls.
The main residential jobs are repointing, wall rebuilds for walls that are bowing, cracked through or have partly fallen, garden and boundary wall repairs, repairs to chimney stacks, and replacing failed lintels and steel beams. On interwar houses we also carry out wall tie replacement where horizontal cracking shows the original ties have rusted.
Many south London streets are conservation areas, so matching the existing brick, bond and joint finish matters. For brickwork that is sound but dirty, damaged or patched, brick restoration (cleaning, replacing damaged bricks, crack stitching and tinting) is often the better route than taking a wall down.

Many south London garden walls sit on the boundary and belong to both neighbours.
Where a wall stands astride the boundary, work to it falls under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 and your neighbour needs written notice before it starts. We agree access, protect both gardens and keep the pavement side safe where a wall fronts the street.

We take brickwork across all 32 London boroughs. Most of our work is in west London, in Shepherd's Bush, Hammersmith, Fulham, Kensington, Chiswick and White City, and in south west London, in Putney, Wandsworth and Wimbledon. We also work in south east London, in Greenwich, Blackheath and Lewisham.
