Commercial wall
rebuild and repair
in London.
Boundary walls, car park and yard walls, retaining walls and estate walls, made safe, rebuilt and repaired for businesses, managing agents, freeholders and public bodies. Written scope, programme and price before anyone starts. Brickwork is led by a bricklayer with more than 30 years' experience, used to running both small crews and large teams.
Leaning, cracked,
hit or falling down?
Commercial walls take more punishment than garden walls: vehicles reversing into them, lorries clipping corners, tree roots, retained ground pushing from behind, and years of patch repairs. The signs are a wall leaning or bulging, cracks that open up, loose or missing copings, bricks falling out, or a section already down.
A wall that is leaning over a pavement, a car park or a public route is a liability as well as a repair. It should be fenced off and looked at quickly. If the council has already been in touch about it, the timescale is usually short, and we can work to it.
Make it safe first,
then do it properly.
Where a wall is dangerous, the first visit makes it safe: taking down the unstable section, propping what needs propping, and fencing or barriering the area so the site can keep running. Then we come back with a written scope for the permanent repair.
The rebuild is matched to the original where that matters, in brick, block or stone, on proper foundations, with movement joints, a damp proof course and a coping that throws water clear. Retaining walls and anything holding back ground are built to an engineer's design, not guessed at.
Car parks, yards,
estates and frontages.
Boundary and frontage walls to shops, offices, pubs and industrial units. Car park, yard and loading bay walls. Walls on housing estates and around blocks of flats for managing agents, freeholders and residents' management companies. School, church and community building walls. Retaining walls to car parks, gardens and changes in level.
Smaller jobs are a single section after a vehicle impact. Larger ones are long runs rebuilt in phases, with sections kept secure each night. For tired but sound brickwork, see brick restoration and repointing.
Paperwork, access
and programme sorted.
Every job comes with a risk assessment and method statement written for the site, a programme, and a named contact. Work can be phased around trading hours, deliveries, residents and parking, and areas are kept fenced and tidy at the end of each day.
Where work affects the pavement or road, we arrange the council licences and traffic management needed. Walls on a boundary with a neighbour may fall under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, and walls in conservation areas or around listed buildings may need consent; we flag both before work starts. For vehicle impact and storm damage, we provide the written quote, photographs and report an insurer needs.
