Shopfitting and retail refits.
Shopfronts, counters, lighting, flooring and back of house, phased around trading so the unit keeps earning. Most retail work is decided by the programme rather than the drawings.
Phased around trading, not around us.
Replacement and repair, including glazing, signage fixings, security shutters and entrance thresholds.
Serving counters, back fittings, display units and fitted storage, made to suit the unit rather than bought as a kit.
Retail lighting matters more than most trades admit. Track, feature and display lighting installed by NICEIC engineers, with the electrical certificate issued.
Commercial-grade vinyl, LVT, tile and resin, laid on a subfloor prepared to take the traffic.
Staff areas, stockrooms, WCs and small kitchens, which is where most retail fit-out budgets quietly go.
Most retail leases require consent for alterations. We will tell you which parts of the scope are likely to need it, though the licence itself is between you and the landlord.
Overnight and closure-day working as standard. A unit closed for a fortnight costs more than the fit-out.
From survey to opening.
We look at the unit, the services, the access and the trading pattern before pricing anything.
Itemised by element, with the out-of-hours premium shown separately rather than buried.
Built around your trading days and the landlord's access rules, with the sequence agreed up front.
Snagged, cleaned, certificates issued, ready to trade.
Answered
plainly.
Usually in part. Full closure is faster and cheaper per day, but rarely worth the lost revenue on a high street unit. Most of our retail work happens overnight and on closure days, and we agree which areas stay open before we start.
A small unit refresh is one to two weeks. A full strip-out and refit of a mid-size unit is typically three to six. Bespoke joinery and long-lead items such as shopfront glazing usually set the programme rather than the building work.
Almost certainly for anything touching the shopfront, the structure or the services. Your lease will set out what needs a licence for alterations. We can tell you which parts of the scope are likely to trigger it, but obtaining the licence is between you and the landlord.
Yes, including glazing, shutters and signage fixings. Signage artwork and manufacture usually comes from your sign maker and we install it, which is normally the cheaper way round.
Any new or altered circuits are installed by NICEIC registered electricians and certificated. You will need that for your own compliance and your landlord will often ask for it at the end of the lease.
